The Beauty of the Earth as Seen by Landsat
I’m a huge fan of photography, am amazed by satellite imagery and supporting technologies, and am constantly wowed by Earth imagery turned art, and so there’s no surprise that the USGS Earth as Art resource is a favorite stop of mine on the web. Via the USGS EROS data center check out the new Earth as Art 3 resource, launched during Geography Awareness Week (Nov 15-18). From the USGS… The Earth as Art 3 exhibit is the third in the series of award-winning USGS and NASA images now available online. Taken from the Landsat 5 and Landsat 7 satellites, Earth as Art 3 depicts an intricate beauty in Earth’s natural patterns. Check out the Earth as Art 3 collection
